Se nomina y describe una nueva especie de Hyla grupo larinopygion (Hyla caucana) de los bosques nublados de subpáramo en el sur de la Cordillera Central de Colombia, con información novedosa sobre la morfología larval; se amplía el conocimiento de la distribución de H. larinopygion.
