Abstract
The advanced techniques of acquisition and signal processing and the capacity of the new devices to obtain successive two-dimensional images of a structure, provides the basic information about the contours that compase the structure. This information together with representation concepts and simulation of three-dimensional spaces led to the development of the prototype PINTCO. This system allows the three-dimensional reconstruction and visualization of the structure, as we show in this paper. The user can also carry out parametric characteristics of specific two-dimensional cross sections of the reconstructed structure such as distances between points, areas and perimeters of objects.
