Abstract
We document the finding of Amastridium veliferum (Ophidia: Colubridae), in northwestern region of South America. This specimen has the phenotypical characteristics found in population of southern Central America (Costa Rica and Panama), even though it has a brighter color and the dark spots over the top of head are barely seen.
