Abstract
he presence of Sida serrata Willd. is reported for Colombia. Sida killipii, a species only known from the type collection, is assigned to the synonymy of S. serrata. An extensive description and an illustration are included. Some comments are made about several morphological characters and their relationship with the ecology and biogeography of the species. The work is completed with a key to the Colombian species of Sida sect. Spinosae, to which Sida serrata is assigned.
