Abstract
A new genus of Crustacea (Conchostraca) identified as Paraimnadia (Phyllopoda- Conchostraca) comprising only one species, P. guayanensis n sp. is described, including details of its ecology and geographical distribution. A new family (Paraimnadiidae) is proposed.
