Abstract
The information related with Escambray's herpetofauna proceeds from westerm part of these montains in the central region of Cuba. An inventory of amphibians and reptiles from Banao and Higuanojo river basins was made in relation with kinds of forest present in the area. Toe records include 16 amphibians and 17 reptiles species. One of the reptiles species is Tropidophi.s wrighti a new record of snake for the Escambray range.
