Abstract
Five new taxa in the section Rubescentes of the genus Salvia are described (S. orthostachys subsp. soatensis, S. xeropapillosa, S. cocuyana, S. gachantivana subsp. gachantivana and S. gachantivana subsp. woodii) and a new sectional key is presented. In the section Mesosphaeria of the genus Hyptis, is described H. perbullata, H. suaveolens (L.) Poit. var. mollissima, and a new synonym is proposed.
