Abstract
Two new species of Atelopus from the Group ignescens are named and described: A. simulatus from the SE slopes of Nevado del Huila, Cauca, 2800 and A. sernai from Serranía de las Baldías, Antioquia, 2800-3000 m, one from the Group longirostris: A. quimbaya from the western slope of the Cordillera Central, Quindío and Risaralda, 2200-2900 m. The validity of the morphometrical relationships, altitudinal distribution and color, as well as the number of phalanx in the first finger in order to define natural groups is discuted.
