Abstract
This article both describes Jalcophila colombiana Díaz & Vélez, a new species of High-elevation Andean habit and records the presence of Chevreulia acuminata Less. in Central and Western Colombian Andean Cordillera. This species was formerly considered restricted to the area from Ecuador to northern Argentina and Brazil.
