Abstract

Three new species of Espeletia Mutis ex Humb. & Bonpl. and a new species of Espeletiopsis Cuatrec., all from the Cordillera Oriental of Colombia, are named, described, and illustrated. These new taxa were recorded from northern Colombia, Guanentá Alto Río Fonce Flora and Fauna Sanctuary in Santander and in the páramos of Rabanal in Ráquira, Pisba National Natural Park in Socotá, and La Cortadera in Siachoque in Boyacá.
