Abstract

A new species of Espeletiopsis is described and illustrated from the Paramo de Tierranegra in Norte de Santander, Colombia. The new species is related to E. insignis (Cuatrec.) Cuatrec., which differs in its smaller size, smaller leaves, different form, shorter flowering branches, and larger but fewer capituli.
