Resumen
Hoyos, J.M.: Estudio cladístico en la familia Iguanidae (Sauria: Reptilia) con base en la musculatura del miembro posterior. Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. 17 (66): 543-558, 1990. ISSN 0370-3908. El análisis de ejemplares de 10 especies de lagartos, 8 de Iguanidae (grupo propio) y I de Teidae y 1 de Gekkonidae (grupo ajeno), hizo posible plantear 5 hipótesis de paren- tesco que permiten concluir que la familia Iguanidae no forma un grupo monofilético al no poder ser definida por un carácter común a todas las especies. Para fortalecer esta hipótesis se requiere estudiar otras características o ampliar el número de especies estudiadas.
