Este trabajo presenta una revisión de las principales propiedades fisicoquímicas y características estructurales de las lectinas aisladas de semillas del género Erythrina. Las lectinas muestran un alto grado de similitud y son una herramienta muy valiosa para estudiar interacciones proteína-carbohidrato.
