Schultes, R.E. De speciebus varietatibusque Desfontainia - colombianae notae. Rev. Acad. Colomb. Cienc. 17 (65): 313-319, 1989. ISSN 0370-3908.
Se proporciona información taxonómica y etnobotánica sobre el género Desfontainia, se describen una nueva especie y dos variedades y se presenta una clave para diferenciar los taxa presentes en la flora de Colombia.
