Se describen tres Nothrotheriinos de la Fauna de La Venta (Huila, Colombia); de ellos uno confirma la presencia de Hapalops, otro constituye el primer registro de Eucholoeps (E. aff. E. fronto), el tercero, Huilabradys magdaleniensis, se propone como nuevos género y especie. En cada caso se efectúan las correspondientes comparaciones con representantes argentinos y bolivianos; además, se consideran los caracteres morfoanatómicos y dentarios de H. magdaleniensis dentro del esquema evolutivo de los Nothrotheriinae.
