Resumen
Se realizó el aislamiento y caracterización de dos cepas bacterianas nativas productoras de exopolisacáridos (EPS). Con estas cepas se llevó a cabo la producción y análisis de la enzima implicada en la síntesis de EPS con el objeto de determinar la actividad enzimática. Las cepas fueron identificadas como Raoultella terrigena y Pseudomonas fluorescens. R. terrigena produce la enzima intracelularmente y por mecanismo de inducción; la enzima sintetizada por P. fluorescens es extracelular y de expresión constitutiva.
