Resumen
La fauna de anfibios de Colombia incluye actualmente 583 especies de las cuales sólo 17 corresponden a salamandras y 25 a cecílidos; éstos dos grupos quedan apenas documentados. Los anuros (ranas y sapos) han sido las más estudiadas, acá registramos 540 especies de 56 géneros y nueve familias siendo las más representativas: Leptodactylidae (212 especies), Hylidae (126 especies), Centrolenidae (63 especies), Bufonidae (60 especies). Grandes endemismos se presentan en las planicies húmedas del Pacífico, en cada una de las cordilleras y en la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta para los géneros Atelopus, Centrolene, Cochranella, Colostethus y Eleutherodactylus. Se ilustra a color una muestra significativa de los anfibios colombianos.
