Abstract
Two new species of Senecioneae (Tussilagininae) from the Cordillera Occidental are proposed and illustrated. One, related to Aequatorium verrucosum, is the only species of the genus known from the Cordillera and differs in having smaller elliptical leaves and its stems lack projecting warts, and the second, related to G. flexopedes, differs in having leaves with kinkier hairs and corymbiform flowers. A key to the Colombian species of Aequatorium is provided. Gynoxys arnicae Cuatr. is placed in the synonymy of G. perbracteosa Cuatr. and G. hirsutissima Cuatr. in the synonymy of G. hirsuta Wedd.
