Abstract

The Geological study of the Carboniferous Tertiary of Antioquia, in the western part of the Central Cordillera of Colombia, between the Arma River and Sacaojal by Emil Grosse was published in 1926 (Grosse, 1926) and a digital copy of this work can be found in the repository of the Academy (https://repositorio.accefyn.org.co/handle/001/261). The repository contains not only the original text of the work, but also its four geological maps that have been digitized at high resolution digitized. This work is probably one of the first geological maps made in our country, with a quality that is still as valid almost a century after its production. In this volume we present four articles related to the rocks studied by Grosse, the Amagá formation.
