Abstract

Caulostrepsis is the icnogenus that designates borings made by presumable spionid polychaetes . Among other substrates, its presence is frequent both in shells of Recent and fossil molluscs. In the present paper this type of traces is studied in specimens gathered in marine Quaternary sediments of Colombia. This find represents the first record of any kind of bioerosion in Colombian fossils.
