Abstract
New species of Araliaceae, Schefflera munchiquensis and Schefflera awa from western mountain range of south Colombia are described. The new species belong in the Sciadophyllum group that comprises about 175 species distributed in Mesoamerica, the Andes, Jamaica and Guyana Altiplane at altitudinal elevations from sea level to over 3500 m. Furthermore, two species are recorded for Colombia: Schefflera diplodactyla Harms and Schefflera epiphytica A. C. Smith.
