Abstract

Three new species of Pentacalia (Asteraceae, Senecioneae) and a new variety of P. trianae are described and illustrated. P. sisavitensis has its nearest affinity with P. ucumarina S. Díaz & G. Méndez and belongs to the subgenus Pentacalia. P. robertii and P. yanetharum belong to the subgenus Microchaete. Commentaries are given relative to their affinities and differences.
