Abstract

The power of the Wilcoxon signed range test for samples of a symmetrical subfamily of the generalized lambda distribution is studied. It is shown that both the power and the consistency of the test are non-decreasing monotonic functions depending on the symmetry and kurtosis of the generalized lambda distribution.
