Resumen

Se describe una nueva especie para el género Sturnira, con base en un espécimen capturado en la cordillera Occidental de Colombia; el holotipo se caracteriza por el primer molar inferior con una cúspide lingual (paraconúlido) notoria y distintiva entre el paracónido y metaconido.
